I used to own a restaurant here in Meadows of Dan and one of the favorite pies I made was the "Possum Pie". That's right I said it possum pie! Although no possums' are necessary for the pie you could always have one as the main coarse. Hee hee, just kidding! Below is the recipe and it's sooo simple, a perfect pie for the rush of the holidays.
Possum Pie
2 pkgs. cream cheese, softened
3/4 c. confectioners' sugar
1 graham cracker crust (9 inch)
1/4 c. chopped pecans
1/3 c. instant chocolate pudding mix
1/4 c. instant vanilla pudding mix
1 3/4 c. cold milk
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. whipping cream, whipped
12 to 16 pecan halves
In a bowl, beat cheese and sugar until smooth. Spread onto bottom of crust. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. In another mixing bowl, combine pudding mixes. Add milk and vanilla; beat on low for 2 minutes. Spoon over pecans. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Top with whipped cream and pecan halves.

After all this time I thought I would share some pics of my workshop. The first picture is where I make the glass beads and the second is of my jewelry making area. Dig the old hoiser cabinet? About seven years ago I painted those pretty apples on it. Like I've said before, I have tried a little of every kind of craft out there! hee hee :0)
Here's a few goodies I will have at the Floyd County Arts & Crafts festival this weekend. The show is at the High School and is Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 12-5.

She's the head honcho of the props department at the Barter Theatre. I'm so proud of her! She took us for a tour all over the theatre and where the work takes place, all I can say is WOW! We also toured the downtown and it is quite beautiful. Here in the picture we had just had a cup of stroonnnnggggg coffee and earlier in the day we ate at a great little bakery called Wild Flour. I can't wait to go back, we plan to take another trip to see the show "Dracula". www.bartertheatre.com
